Lee Glascock

Acrylic-Mixed Media

Lee Glascock is a native of Chattanooga, TN, where she currently resides and works. Inspired by her watercolorist grandmother, she started painting in the 1990’s, beginning with watercolor and china painting, and evolving into acrylic, mixed media and jewelry design.

Lee graduated from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a Bachelor of Science degree in general special education. She has studied art under various accomplished artists including Agnes Standifer, Virginia Skipper and Sandra Paynter Washburn. Lee is currently a member of MMIA (Mixed Media Inspired Artists) and the Tennessee Watercolor Society.

 

Exhibitions include Michael’s Fine Art and Framing in Dalton, GA and Harris Arts Center in Calhoun, GA. In addition to In-Town Gallery, Lee has exhibited or currently exhibits at Reflections Gallery, Exum Gallery, North River Civic Center and H Salon in Tennessee. Her jewelry has sold through various retail and specialty stores in the Chattanooga area.

In 2014, Lee’s painting “Sandy Dunes”, was accepted into the Tennessee Watercolor Society Exhibition and then chosen to travel for a year throughout Tennessee.
