With each painting series, I hope to inspire an appreciation for the beauty of the natural world around us and find a sense of calm, peace or a feeling of excitement that is reflected in paint.”

Ellyn Bivin has had a passion for drawing and painting since early childhood. Her love for art lead her to pursue a career in painting and drawing. She attended Virginia Commonwealth University, finishing with a BFA in art education/printmaking. A graduate study at UTC allowed her to continue to delve into both painting and printmaking, experimenting with new methods of creating images. Since that time, she has continued her interest in both painting and printmaking, along with teaching.

Ellyn’s work has been shown internationally as well as nationally and is in collections around the country. Most recently, she has shown work at the Creative Arts Guild’s 54th Annual Festival of Fine Arts and Crafts in Dalton, GA and Arts at Erlanger Gallery Hall, Chattanooga, TN.
