Red Finch Bathing
Photography - 11 x 14 Print, Matted to 16 x 20 - 02/10/2023
I was walking around Olbrich Botanical Gardens in Madison, WI and enjoying all of the beautiful flowers there when I spotted this finch taking a bath in a small creek and having a great time just splashing water everywhere. I shot in high burst and this is the only shot where the finch's head is still connected to the water before the surface tension breaks that bond and the water is splashing everywhere in this photo creating a very dynamic action shot that juxtaposes with a lot of my more stationary bird portraits in my portfolio.

Downtown Chattanooga Mural

Photo taken in collaboration with muralist Carson Whittaker (instagram @carsons_artlife). This mural captures some iconic Chattanooga landmarks like the Walnut Street Bridge and the Aquarium! I love all of the murals in Chattanooga and the vibrancy it brings to our neighborhoods. This mural can be found on the Southside by the Refindery on McCallie Avenue.

Dock Heron - Booker T. Washington State Park

This was taken in October 2022, right after I had captured a sunrise on the docks of the park in Chattanooga, TN. I was leaving the park in my car when I spotted this Heron on top of the docks also enjoying the beautiful sunrise that morning.
I had a few moments to quickly change from my wide angle lens that I was using for the sunrise to my 200 mm telephoto to capture this heron right before it flew off. Really happy and lucky to have captured this fleeting moment.

Walnut Street Bridge

This is my take of the iconic Walnut Street Bridge. This photo has been taken thousands of time, but for my photo I wanted to capture it in a moment of solitude before the day started. This particular morning was cloudy and you can just see the sun piercing through the clouds while making out of the other iconic buildings in the background like the Tennessee Aquarium and the Hunter Museum.
