"Color is what motivates me. Shape and representational objects are secondary. My hope is to provide layers of revelation for the viewer."

Kathleen M. Pacenti, a Chattanooga-based painter and mixed media artist, has been practicing her acrylic painting skills since 2011. Coming from a graphic design background, there can often be found abstract and representational components in her artwork. She enjoys working with vivid color and uses several different techniques in her paintings such as stamping, steciling and palette knife application, in addition to traditional brush work. Her inspiration comes from colors in nature, interior design elements, architecture, and other artists. She has taught art to both children and adults over the past eight years in addition to being a founding member of Mixed Media Inspired Artists and Broad Stroke Artists.

In the Chattanooga area, Kathleen's work has been shown at WanderLinger Art Gallery, Erlanger Arts Gallery, Exum Gallery, North River Civics Center and Neighbor of Wine Down, and at Creative Arts Guild in Dalton, GA>
